The clinic is run by a specialist physiotherapist Salim Mughal who has 29 years of clinical experience in the management and treatment of musculoskeletal problems. He's worked with elite sportsmen and women from the world of athletics, football, ice dance, body building, boxing and cricket.
After graduating from Manchester in 1987 he moved to Solihull and started work at a large teaching hospital in Birmingham. During this period he gained significant experience and skills in a wide range of specialities, including sports injuries and orthopaedics.
He very soon became interested in the control of pain with Acupuncture and went on to study Traditional Chinese Acupuncture at the British College of Acupuncture in London and is recognised as a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
He developed a practice in Solihull but also continued to work within the NHS as a senior clinician in the treatment of chronic pain.
In 2003 he started to work as a specialist in an occupational health setting, providing a rapid access service for NHS staff. He also advised and supported employees and managers on return to work programmes as well as providing education on health and wellbeing in the work place. During this period he successfully completed a Masters in ergonomics from Loughborough University.
When he's not at work, his interests include walking, badminton, Tae Kwon Do, vegetable growing and being a dad to three children.
